West Indian batter Nicholas Pooran has been slapped with a 15% fine on his match fee for violating the Level 1 ICC Code of Conduct during the second T20I against India. The breach relates to Pooran's public criticism, which breaches Article 2.7 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
Former Australia captain Steve Smith, who was handed a one-year ban for ball-tampering, played down the lighter ban of four matches given to West Indian wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran for a similar offence.
